Reading Log

• "Atomic Habits" by James Clear
  • June 30th, 2024 - A habit boils down to 4 parts; Cue, Craving, Action, Reward. For good habits, we must make them ubiquitous, attractive, easy, and satisfying.
    Bad habits follow the same steps but reversed. For me, I want to read more of anything; articles, novels, biographies, etc.

• "The Lesson to Unlearn" by Paul Graham
  • December 29th, 2023 - I learned of the idea that schools condition individuals to hack tests by memorization and appeal to test judgers over actual intellect
    It says we must unlearn the idea that you succed from hacking tests and instead understand good work and knowledge = success
